General aims
Developing skills of interpreting and relating to Otherness through the analysis of Fake News and their mechanisms of Otherization.
Parts

Part 1: Discovery activities (8 hours)
To analyze Fake News and understand what they are and which mechanisms are used to create them.
To identify the consequences intended to each Fake News.
To analyze the text, the picture and the relationship between both.
To identify stylistic and visual resources upon Fake News.
To identify the consequencies intended to each Fake News.

Part 2: Theoretical documentation (4 hours)
To understand how (dis/mis)information shapes our beliefs about minorities and migrants.

Part 3: Empirical analysis (3 hours)
To identify the mechanisms leading to stereotyping and otherisation of minorities and migrants.

Part 4: Didatic implementation (13 hours)
Design (and implement) an Escape Room activity that deconstructs processes of otherisation in the media.

Part 5: Synthesis/Evaluation (2 hours)
Reflect upon the contribution of the module for the development of professional knowledge and skills.
Identify further areas of professional development.
