General aims
- To reflect upon the use of Fake News as pedagogical tools.
- To explore the pedagogical potential of Fake News.
- To develop professional knowledge and skills about the implementation of Fake News in specific and/or across subject areas of the curriculum.
- To reflect on how the pedagogical work with Fake News can enhance students’ and teachers’ intercultural competence.
Parts

Part 1: Awareness raising (3 hours)
Develop awareness of difficulties in identifying Fake News.

Part 2: Learning about Fake News (4 hours)
Develop declarative knowledge about Fake News (production, consumption, etc.).
Develop professional knowledge on the use of Fake News for teaching and learning.

Compare lists of elements that may indicate a news item as false.
Elaborate a content and multimodal analysis of a Fake News.

Part 4: Transforming Fake News into pedagogical resources (7 to 11 hours)
Design (and implement) a learning activity that makes use of Fake News to promote intercultural competence.

Part 5: Reflection and assessment (2 hours)
Reflect upon the contribution of the module for the development of professional knowledge and skills.
Identify further areas of professional development.
